Rajasthan Abandons Pupil Name Change Campaign

Jaipur, Rajasthan– The Rajasthan government has withdrawn its debatable “Sarthak Naam Abhiyaan,” started to rename students with “adverse” or “meaningless” names.

  • Withdrawal: School Education And Learning Preacher Madan Dilawar validated the order was rescinded complying with extensive objection.
  • Project Objective: Released April 13, the initiative intended to increase pupil self-confidence by providing “far better” names.
  • Controversy: The recommended name list was criticized for aloof recommendations, underrepresentation of state variety, and duplication.
  • Opposition: Congress and parents’ organizations condemned the campaign as a diversion from critical education and learning issues.
