CAG Flags Economic Abnormalities in Maharashtra Governance
Mumbai– The Administrator and Auditor General of India (CAG) has identified substantial “systemic shortages” in Maharashtra’s administration. The report, just recently tabled, revealed 891 crore in prospective economic irregularities as a result of ignored audit queries.
- Secret Finding: Over 10, 000 audit questions remain unanswered across numerous departments, some going back over a decade.
- Stockpile: As of June 2023, 2, 408 Evaluation Information (IRs) consisting of 10, 340 paragraphs were pending negotiation.
- Sector Effect: Public functions, water system, cleanliness, and roadway & & bridge industries make up the highest possible pendency.
- Responsibility Problems: The CAG slams the delay in filing activity taken notes, weakening liability.
