IAF to Obtain Advanced UAV System for Special Pressures
New Delhi– The Indian Flying Force (IAF) is initiating the procurement of a compact unmanned airborne car (UAV) system for its elite Special Pressures, with the ability of operating in extreme problems as much as 16, 400 feet.
- Goal: Enhanced high-altitude security and operational support.
- Features: Increased array and endurance; day/night surveillance; target purchase; real-time situational awareness.
- Specifications: Man-portable; two-person operation; 15 kilometres range; 60 -minute endurance; GPS-denied environment procedure; self-governing upright liftoff and landing.
- Native Focus: ‘Get Indian’ procurement with a minimal 60 % aboriginal content to increase domestic protection manufacturing and line up with “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
