Three Just Stop Oil (JSO) followers on Friday tossed fluid over 2 Vincent van Gogh paints at London’s National Gallery, merely hours after 2 group protestors had been imprisoned for a comparable act.

The group claimed the act was a “sign of defiance” after 2 protestors had been imprisoned beforehand Friday for tossing soup on the “Sunflowers” (1888) paint in October 2022.
It known as the followers related to the latest demonstration as Phil Green, 24, Ludi Simpson, a 71-year-old retired trainer, and Mary Patricia Somerville, a 77-year-old grandma.
“We will be held accountable for our actions today, and we will face the full force of the law,” claimed Simpson.
“When will the fossil fuel executives and the politicians they’ve bought be held accountable for the criminal damage that they are imposing on every living thing?” she included.
The gallery claimed the case happened at 2:30 pm (1330 GMT) which the paints had been positioned to be unharmed after being gotten rid of from display screen and checked out by a conservator.
“We are aiming to reopen the exhibition as soon as possible,” it included.
