Tonk: Water might be launched from Bisalpur dam into the canals from tomorrow. Water might be launched from the suitable and left canals of the dam. Rabi crops could be irrigated with dam water for about 105 days.
Additional crops value about Rs 1 thousand crore are produced from the dam water. There is a 750 kilometer lengthy canal system. The water launched into the canal will irrigate about 81 thousand 800 hectares of land in 256 villages.
There might be 8 TMC reserve for crop irrigation. Farmers demand that 9 TMC be reserved for irrigation. Collector Soumya Jha mentioned {that a} proposal might be despatched by the committee concerning growing water.
