Dholpur: Saipau police station, whereas taking motion towards unlawful Chambal gravel on the National Highway 123 Bharatpur-Dholpur highway within the space, has succeeded in cordoning off and seizing two tractor-trolleys carrying gravel from the Chambal river. During the operation, the tractor driver and the gravel mafia who was escorting him ran away on seeing the police.

Police station incharge Gambhir Singh Kasana stated on Sunday that beneath the path of Superintendent of Police Sumit Mehrada, as a part of the marketing campaign being run within the district towards unlawful Chambal gravel transportation, a police crew on Sunday stopped tractors loaded with unlawful Chambal gravel on National Highway 123. During the siege, success was achieved in seizing two unlawful Chambal gravel tractor-trolleys. During this time, to keep away from the police siege, the gravel mafia fled via the ravines of Parvati.

The police have introduced the captured tractor-trolley to the police station and are taking motion by registering a case beneath numerous sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and Forest Act. The station in-charge stated that the gravel mafia is being searched. Assistant sub-inspector Umashankar Sharma, constables Gajendra, Jitendra, Geetam Singh and driver constable Lekhraj have been concerned throughout the motion.
