Ranjit Sagar Water Tank
Rajasthan News: Ranjit Sagar water tank has overflowed after heavy rains in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. This tank was constructed to gather rainwater in the course of the princely period between the Aravalli hills. Baba Saheb Ran Singh, the pinnacle of the Gurla royal household, had constructed the Ranjit Singh water tank. The king had donated his land to construct it. The pond is unfold over about 1600 bighas of land and its filling capability is 11 toes. The overflowing of the pond has introduced happiness on the faces of hundreds of farmers.
The construction is from the princely period
The king constructed this pond for rainwater conservation. The king constructed a water construction to gather the rainwater flowing wastefully within the rain drain. Water from an space of 51 kilometers flows into the princely period pond constructed on the Bhilwara-Udaipur freeway. About 5 thousand small farmer households within the neighborhood get water for irrigation from the pond.
The water of the overflow pond goes into the Banas river
Ranjit Sagar pond was given to the federal government between 1970-71, after which the irrigation division first received the pond’s embankment work accomplished. The authorities had supplied irrigation facility from the pond to the farmers’ fields. After its water overflows, it merges with the Banas river.
