High Court bans shifting of police station and seeks response from DGP

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has put an interim keep on the implementation of the order granting approval to shift Basdayal police station of Bansur to Karana village. Along with this, the court docket has requested the state’s Principal Home Secretary, DGP, Jaipur Range IG and Behrod District Collector and SP to reply within the matter. Justice Sudesh Bansal gave this order whereas listening to the petition of Krishna Gurjar and others.

In the petition, advocate Suresh Gurjar stated that the Chief Minister had introduced the opening of a police station in Basdayal within the finances of 2023-24. After this, on June 5, 2023, a police station was established in Basdayal by together with 38 villages and 14 gram panchayats and functioning within the police station additionally began from August 5, 2023. The policemen labored within the police station for a yr. After the change of energy, on 23 August 2024, the Home Department issued an order and accepted shifting of this police station to Karana village.

Challenging this motion of the state authorities within the High Court, he stated that the police station is being shifted to a different place on account of political causes, whereas after the opening of the police station right here, there was a discount in native crimes. The approval and order to shift the police station from Basdayal to another place must be cancelled. Hearing which, the only bench has put an interim keep on the order to shift the police station to a different place and has sought solutions from the state authorities and the police division.
