Udaipur ACB Action News: A staff of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan has taken a significant motion on Saturday. An assistant administrative officer was arrested whereas taking bribe in Udaipur. Assistant Administrative Officer Chandramohan Goswami within the Directorate of Inspection Department Office, Jaipur has been arrested whereas taking bribe. Chandramohan Goswami, Assistant Administrative Officer (in-charge bodily verification staff) within the Directorate of Inspection Department workplace in Udaipur, Jaipur, has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 12 thousand. This motion has been taken by the Special Unit on the directions of ACB Headquarters.
Pressure to pay Rs 15 thousand
Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Dr. Ravi Prakash Mehra stated {that a} grievance was made by the complainant to the Special Unit of ACB, Udaipur unit. During the bodily verification, after discovering deficiencies within the sports activities tools, they threatened to register an FIR towards it within the police station and lift objections within the audit report and ship it in writing for additional departmental motion. Also, the accused Chandramohan Goswami is harassing her by demanding a bribe quantity of Rs 15 thousand.
Bribe taken by way of UPI
On this, beneath the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajendra Prasad Goyal, ACB Udaipur, the grievance was verified beneath the management of Additional Superintendent of Police Rajiv Joshi, Special Unit of ACB, Udaipur Unit. Today, whereas conducting a lure operation in Kanod, Udaipur by his staff, the accused Chandramohan Goswami has been arrested whereas taking a bribe of Rs 12 thousand (by way of on-line UPI transaction) from the complainant.
Even in the course of the verification of the grievance by the accused Assistant Administrative Officer, Rs 3,000 was taken as bribe from the complainant. The interrogation and proceedings towards the accused are persevering with beneath the route of ACB’s Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava. ACB will register a case beneath the Prevention of Corruption Act and conduct additional investigation.
