Answer hunted for not giving compassionate appointment to brother of single deceased

    Jaipur : The Rajasthan High Court has sought solutions from the Principal Education Secretary and the Director of Secondary Education, amongst others, for not giving compassionate appointment to the youthful brother of an single brother who died in a street accident. A single bench of Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand gave this order whereas conducting preliminary listening to on the petition of Kaushal Singh Amera.

    In the petition, advocate Siddharth Jain advised the courtroom that the petitioner’s single elder brother Lokendra Singh was working as a junior assistant in Dudu Girls Secondary School. During this time, he died in a street accident on 8 May 2018. On the loss of life of his brother, the petitioner requested the Education Department to supply him a compassionate job in his place as he had no different dependent. The Education Department rejected his compassionate job utility saying that solely a dependent of the deceased can apply for compassionate appointment as per guidelines.

    Challenging this within the High Court, he mentioned that the Jodhpur Chief Bench, citing the modification within the guidelines made by the state authorities on October 28, 2021 in one other case of Ankit Gaur, has thought of the single brother additionally entitled for compassionate appointment. The petitioner can also be entitled to get compassionate appointment, therefore he must also be given a compassionate job underneath the amended guidelines. Hearing this, the one bench has sought solutions from the involved officers.
