Bollywood starlet Taapsee Pannu just recently appeared on behalf of Algerian fighter Imane Khelif and the sex qualification conflict bordering her at the Paris Olympics 2024. The starlet doubted why Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps were likewise not prohibited from the Olympics considering that they as well had a ‘organic side’.

She mentioned the instance of her movie Rashmi Rocket, in which Taapsee’s personality was a women professional athlete that was prohibited as a result of high degree of testosterone. Drawing contrasts with the Imane Khelif row, the starlet examined, “Our argument in the film was that there are so many athletes who are born with an edge over others. Like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps, all these people are also born with a certain biological edge over others. Why are they not banned? And why only someone who has a higher level of testosterone is banned?”

“If she has taken injections for this particular competition, then, of course, it should be illegal and she should be banned. But if she is not, then by something that is not in her control, you’ve banned her,” she included.

However, her remark did not drop well with netizens that knocked for creating unenlightened viewpoints and called her remark ‘mind dead’. They mentioned that the conflict around Khelif emerged since she is a naturally male fighter that got involved and won gold in the females’s group.

“Equating this with legends like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps is not just absurd—it’s a direct insult to women athletes who compete fairly,” a customer commented, while one more composed, “Because they did not fight in women boxing pretending to be women.”

“Sounds like she doesn’t even know the current events,” an X individual composed, and one more clarified, “Taapsee, seriously? Equating Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps to Khelif’s situation is like comparing apples to rocket ships! Khelif’s debate is about gender eligibility, not doping or cheating in the traditional sense.”

Taapsee is yet to respond to the objection.

On the job front, Taapsee just recently had 2 huge launches– Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba on OTT and Khel Khel Mein in theaters. While the previous gotten go crazy evaluations from the target market, the last, which alos starred Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and others fell short to execute at package workplace.
