Rapid Bus expands dedicated lane on Jalan Ampang

    Rapid Bus will definitely broaden its dedicated bus lane on Jalan Ampang by 1km, environment friendly on Monday (February 17, 2025).

    This growth complies with the efficient execution of the preliminary 3km lane on July 3, 2023.

    The further enlargement will definitely cowl 2 areas: Section A, from the Ampang–Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) entry to the Jalan Mamanda 1 junction, linking to the present lane and Section B, from the Bandar Baru Ampang bus stop/Jalan Wawasan Ampang junction to the Sungai Besi–Ulu Kelang Elevated Highway (SUKE) departure.

    Rapid Bus and the Public Works Department (JKR) will definitely carry out a three-month examination to judge the affect on touring time and blockage.

    According to Rapid Bus, the lane will definitely run from 6am to 9am on weekdays, consisting of Fridays.

    “This initiative will benefit commuters on routes 300 (Pandan Indah Hub – Lebuh Ampang) and 303 (Mulia Jaya Bus Stop – Lebuh Ampang), as well as feeder buses from Pandan Indah, Bukit Indah, Mulia Jaya, and Lembah Jaya.”

    “The extension is part of the 12th Malaysia Plan (RMK-12) and is supported by the Cabinet Committee addressing traffic congestion,” it claimed.

    Rapid Bus appearing president Ku Jamil Zakaria claimed the present lane has truly at the moment minimized bus touring time by 10 to fifteen minutes and boosted day by day ridership by 14.14%, from 12,819 to 14,631 vacationers.

    “We hope this expansion will encourage more people to choose public transport,” claimed Ku Jamil.
