BEIJING (Reuters) – China is “dissatisfied” with the Dutch goverment’s option to broaden export controls on ASML chipmaking units, the Chinese enterprise ministry claimed in a declaration on Sunday.
The Dutch federal authorities on Friday claimed it will actually broaden export licensing calls for for ASML’s 1970i and 1980i DUV (Deep Ultraviolet) immersion lithography units, straightening its insurance policies with export limitations on these equipments unilaterally enforced by the United States in 2015.
Beijing has truly repetitively criticised Washington’s methodology of urgent allies just like the Netherlands and Japan to enroll with export controls focusing on Chinese accessibility to superior chips and chipmaking units.
“In recent years, in order to maintain its global hegemony, the United States has continued to … coerce certain countries to tighten export control measures for semiconductors and (related) equipment … China is resolutely opposed to this,” China’s enterprise ministry claimed in suggestions to the Dutch federal authorities’s information on Friday.
The ministry included that the Dutch facet should not abuse export controls, stop procedures that damages Sino-Dutch teamwork in semiconductors, and guard the “common interests of Chinese and Dutch enterprises.”
