Sri Lankan National Sentenced for Illegal Stay in India
A Thane court has sentenced Arumahaddi Janith Madusangha D’silva, 36, a Sri Lankan national, to one year of rigorous imprisonment for illegally residing in India. Additional Sessions Judge Vasudha L Bhosale issued the order on February 20, directing D’silva’s deportation upon completion of his sentence.

- Arrested in January 2025 in Kashigaon, Mira Road, without a passport or visa.
