BMC Approves ₹10 Million Beach Cleaning Contract for Chimbai
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has greenlit a ₹10 million contract for cleaning operations at the Waringpada section of Chimbai beach in Bandra. M/s MTS Blue Roadlines will undertake the 730-day project.
- Area: 1.5 km stretch, 25 meters wide.
- Daily Expenditure: Approximately ₹13,000.
- Scope: Removal of silt, soil, debris, and garbage.
- Concerns: Residents raise concerns about excessive sand removal by heavy machinery and the need for cleaning during monsoon season.
